Frequently Asked Questions
-
Your party will be the only guests on the tour, allowing us to tailor pace, stops and narrative entirely to your interests and preferences. Inspired by Michelle’s own globetrotting experience in more than 44 countries, every Private Experience is curated to ensure a truly immersive, personalised and exclusive one.
-
Our Private Experiences generally run 2½ to 3 hours, though in a private format we’re happy to adapt start time or duration to suit your rhythm. Should you wish to book our guiding services for a half day (4 hours), a full day (8 hours) or multiple days, please feel free to reach out by email or via WhatsApp. We usually reply in a couple of hours.
-
All our Private Experiences are available in English, in French or in Mandarin. If you prefer another language, please let us know in advance so that we may coordinate bespoke guides accordingly.
-
You will receive precise meeting point instructions after booking is confirmed. We finish at a convenient location from which you can continue exploring independently if you wish.
-
For food tours, the fees cover the personalisation of our itinerary, delicious, generous & premium tastings at carefully selected artisan addresses, plus the insightful commentaries shared throughout our time together. We will also share insider recommendations on arts and culture, food and drinks and answer any other questions you might have in order to make the most of your Parisian vacation.
-
For Guided Tours to art museums and historic monuments, your private licensed guide will lead you through architectural, historical and cultural layers, forming deep connections that go beyond the usual visitor route.
All-inclusive, meaning that museum entrance tickets, the mandatory “right to speak” authorisation fees as well as headsets whenever required, are all included in the pricing. No catch.
-
Our tours are entirely private and handcrafted from start to finish. The difference lies in expertise that only hands-on, real-world experience can bring. As a Paris-trained pastry chef, licensed museum guide, world traveller and long-time Paris insider, Michelle personally curates every tasting and evaluate our partners on a regular basis. You’re not joining a scripted group excursion, but a truly bespoke immersion shaped around your curiosity and pace, intimate, in-depth, and genuinely Parisian.
-
Please inform us of any vegetarian, nut-free or lactose-sensitive needs ahead of time. While we’ll do our utmost to accommodate, please note that some substitutions may be limited.
-
Generally, we are able to run our Private Experiences rain or shine. Should weather dictate an indoor stop or slight route alteration, we will adjust while preserving the essence of our experience.
-
We welcome guests with mobility considerations - please double check with us in advance. Our itinerary may cover historic cobblestones - we will be able to choose accessible paths and indicate regular rest stops wherever feasible.
For museum tours, we are happy to propose alternative itineraries. This means that we may not be able to cover as much as on a classic tour due to logistical adaptations. We will be happy to advise in greater details according to your needs and of course we will be transparent with what we’re realistically able to deliver.
-
Oui oui, absolutely! We love working with families and have developed age-appropriate toolkits to keep the younger guests engaged throughout our time together.
-
Yes! Your Private Experience is bespoke: please share with us your interests and preferences and we will advise and recommend an expert guide accordingly.
-
At Sweet Secrets of Paris, your private guides are experienced professionals personally selected for their expertise and personality.
In addition to Michelle and Olivia, we collaborate with a small circle of licensed guides-conférenciers, each bringing distinct specialties, from art history, architecture to cultural heritage. Their diverse backgrounds allow us to design thematic, tailor-made tours that reflect both your interests and the spirit of Paris itself.

Please reach out with your preferred travel dates & times, the tour(s) you’re interested in, the number of guests in your group, the age(s) of children travelling with you and we will get back to you asap.
Once you’re happy with our tour dates and content, we will share across a secure payment link via Stripe. You will also receive a Calendar invitation shortly after the confirmation of payment, so that our times and meeting point information are clearly noted down on both of our agendas.
Full payment is required in order to confirm your booking, just like any other platform or market places.
We used to apply flexible policies of book now, pay later. Unfortunately, due to a series of last minute cancellations in the beginning of the season, we are no longer able to afford that flexibility.
We turn down any other requests from individual travellers and our partnering agencies, in order to honour the engagement with you and your group. As independent guides, it is difficult to fill up empty slots at the very last minute. Thank you for your understanding!
